    At 8:09 "Kevin McCarthy became one of Trump's most evil enablers" !! Yes, Mr. Hayes made a Freudian slip. We know he didn't mean it, but it was still hilarious!!!

    Will Haley Byrd Wilt be doing more podcasts? Is she related to the late Sen Byrd from WV? Now, I don't mean to pick on just her. I recommend Mr. Hayes call EVERYONE in to the office and give a little class on how-best to conduct oneself when speaking professionally in support of The Dispatch. I hope TD will differentiate itself from other news organizations (like NPR) by being the folks who don't use vocal fry (Ms. Haley Byrd) or uptalk (Mr. Jonah Goldberg). Man, it's annoying! Yous guys are doing great. Keep up the good work. Keep making improvements.

    Disappointing dog Christmas present: when I was 10, I asked my parents for a puppy. Christmas day came, and I received a stapler shaped like a dog, my parents explaining that our yard wasn’t big enough for a dog—a bald-faced lie as our large LA backyard was mostly dirt. What parent thinks a 10-year-old wants office supplies for Christmas?

    Regarding your discussion on the 126 (née 106) members of Congress who signed onto the Texas lawsuit, I contacted my congressman, one of the signatories, to express my disgust and disbelief that he would participate in such a piece of performative nonsense, especially as a former US Attorney. I got the most interesting email from him Friday, which reads in part,

    "Like most Americans, I support a peaceful transition of power and remain committed to honoring this precedent in future elections as we have in the past.

    As such, on September 29, 2020, I voted in support of H.Res. 1155, which reaffirms the House of Representatives’ commitment to the orderly and peaceful transfer of power called for in the Constitution of the United States. You may be interested to know that H.Res. 1155 passed the House by a vote count of 397-5."

    In other words, "That thing I did that made lots of my constituents mad and probably backfired . . . I didn't mean it."
